Baby Kate Nicole Bassett joined our family this past Wednesday (June 22), at 6:26 pm! She was 9 days early but was surprisingly similar in size to Ava who was 5 days overdue. Baby Kate weighed in at 9 lbs 7.5 oz and was 21.75 inches long (Ava was 9 lbs 9 oz, 21.5 in).
Things went so well that we were able to watch several TV episodes during the labor and Kate was born in time for Britney to watch her favorite TV show So You Think You Can Dance? that came on at 8 pm.

Congrats congrats congrats! She is beautiful! Gosh, I feel like a pansy with my "big" 8 lb 14 oz baby next to you :). Way to go! Have fun!
o my goodness! i love her! im so happy for you. those pictures yank on my heart strings. call me crazy, but i have always loved the labor/hospital/brand new baby stage of having a baby. it is so special. i cant wait to see sweet baby kate in real life. she is a DOLL!

You have entered into a home and family that has so much love to give you, you literally will not know what to do with it all (but you'll figure it out eventually, because that's what we Kates do). I'm eager to watch you grow and explore this wonderful world your Father has created for you.
